Every year, sometimes less than that, a new FAD diet comes out and often it is just a revised or revamped version of one previously pushed, that slowly slid into the background.
Regardless of what is being hailed as the latest, "BEST" weightloss method, ultimate weightloss method, best weightloss program for menopausal women, best post partum weightloss, best weightloss for women blah blah blah. ALL weightloss is due to the individual hitting a calorie deficit and maintaining it long enough to lose weight.
Your weightloss journey doesn't have to be about steak and a stick of butter for breakfast and chicken and broccoli for every lunch and dinner. Neither does it have to be about only eating within a small window of hours each day, not eating after 6pm, living on meal replacement shakes or giving up all the food and drink items that you love. But it does need to work, for you, and be a sustainable method that you can consistently maintain so you can reach your weightloss goals.
So coffee and dessert can be a part of your plan, but this is different for everyone, as is "moderation". What is moderation for one is too much of a temptation for another, it's not a one-size-fits-all gig and finding what works best for you, can take a bit of time.
Social media today has enabled easier access to more and more information, yet it has also enabled people to spread more and more misinformation for clicks, likes and follows and demonising perfectly fine food to pitch their products. Even worse, many are listening to them, especially when some have "Dr" in their SM handle, don't fall for it, there are better ways to hit your weightloss goals.
Fortunately, there are also many, evidence based professionals sharing quality information and debunking all the weightloss and nutrition myths out there too, including us here at CC Wellness Solutions.
Regardless of what the next "guru", with lots of followers, on social media says, the Law of Thermodynamics applies to everyone, including you. Some circumstances may make hitting a calorie deficit more challenging, but it's still what you need to lose weight. If you're not losing weight, you're not in a deficit and you can still hit that while enjoying your morning caramel latte and pain au chocolat each day.
So, before you start on yet another "fad" diet in your next attempt to lose weight, get in shape, get fit or whatever you're trying to achieve, how about you sit down and ask yourself a few questions first. Get VERY clear about your goals and real honest with yourself.
How did you get to where you are now?
How long did it take and how long are you expecting to take, to turn things around?
When did the weight gain start and why do you think it started?
What have you already tried and why did you try those methods, and why did you stop?
How is your relationship with food?
How is your relationship with YOU?
Some of these questions may be hard to get honest about, but it is important you get to the root of why started gaining weight in the first place and continued to keep it on and struggle with losing it. There are many reasons as to why people gain excess weight and struggle with losing it, every story is different and it is important to acknowledge that and be honest with yourself.
None of it means you can't be successful with your weightloss goals and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle well into your twilight years.

No the aim of the program is to transform the way you look, feel & perform whilst allowing you to continue to eat the foods you love and have the flexibility to lead a balanced lifestyle.
The goal of the program is to also give you the knowledge and key tools so that you aren't reliant on a coach for the rest of your life. We will educate you throughout the whole process to make sure that you understand the reasons behind the methods used throughout your program. That said, we do have a members area for ongoing support and you are always welcome back for further coaching when looking to achieve new goals that you want our support for.
You will have 1-1 communication with your coach for support whenever you require it. In addition to this you will also have a checkin each week to review your progress and make sure that you're consistently progressing every single week.
We actually suggest that you do! We will educate you on the principles needed to give you the flexibility to continue to enjoy all of the foods that you love whilst achieving word class results.
Your commitment will depend on your goals and your plan will be designed to fit around both your schedule and the equipment that you have available. What works for one client doesn't necessarily work for another, which is why all programs are personalised to each client.
